"A driver's assistant covers his face during a protest aimed at calling attention to the almost daily bus attacks in Guatemala City March 24, 2009. In three attacks around the city, gunmen killed a passenger,and wounded two bus drivers. Also, a private security guard shot and killed one attacker and wounded another. Attacks on bus drivers are common in Guatemala where organized gangs extort money from the private companies that run the buses. According to police nearly 200 bus drivers, driver's assistants and owners have been killed in the last year."
