Sir,
This record was broken a few months later when the season re-opened by the Suzuki Hayabusa Motorcycle Hearse, which is built with an actual motorcycle rather than a trike. Despite being almost 1000cc less of an engine the Haysbusa beat the 114.1 mph over two miles in just one mile with 115.2 mph. It then went on to hot 117.6 mph over two miles. The video can be seen here: http://youtu.be/S-MRwKvdQqQ
Respect!

The Suzuki Hayabusa hearse's 2012 world record was beaten again in May 2013, significantly so as the Suzuki Hayabusa had been de-restricted. The video is at http://youtu.be/Jv8irsYb2I4.

For the official record the Suzuki Hayabusa hearse ran both ways and the average at the one mile mark was calculated, so the official average speed was 125.7 mph
