"It’s now time to pay the piper. The bill is due, and Athens can’t pay it. The government has announced massive layoffs and has been asking those still with jobs on the public payroll to take pay freezes or cuts. The Greek people, accustomed to their big, fat, Greek government, are in revolt. When you depend on the government to support you, and then it no longer can, you’re screwed. The government giveth, and the government taketh away."
