then we can fix the problems, get over the mess that this would cause and get back to living our lives.
in fact Isaac Asimov wrote a story about this happening to earth. Some guy that was in the mountians camping and hunting came back home to find many strange things going on in the town. Interesting it did not effect his transporation while he was in the mountians.
