Quirky?

"A woman carries a 6m long plastic bag filled with natural gas on her back in Bingzhou, northern China's Shandong Province. Local villagers pump the natural gas from a nearby oil field into their home-made plastic bags in order to take it home and use in the kitchen. According to one local a 'bag' of gas lasts for around five days when connected up to her stove. She said: "It's very convenient and quite safe. All villagers in this region are doing the same". A worker from the oil field where the locals get the gas from commented: "We warned them that it is like a hidden bomb at home, but they wouldn't listen"."
