One good thing that's come out of the Obama years (but at what expense) is that the racism accusations or allegations in our society are about dead. People aren't running in fear from the accusation anymore as much as they were for decades before - the pop culture or pop mentality is that people are seen for who they are and on their own merits. Obama is black and is the president. He's also an idiot and a failure. The four things are now mutually exclusive and you can say one without automatically being assumed to be the other....unless the news is watching and filming you. Still gotta nail that one down....
By that I mean people don't go "OH MY GOSH YOURE RACIST BECAUSE YOU SAID XYZ" - people don't fall for it as much anymore. You can actually ridicule the notion without being seen as insensitive.
