"It didn’t take long for Team Obama to run smack into the rule of law. A federal judge overturned the moratorium, saying it was overly broad, arbitrary, and didn’t take into account the wider economic impact on the tens of thousands of oil workers in the area or on the local communities.
You would have thought that that would be that, but no. Team Obama tried again, appealing to a higher court. That appellate court also held that the administration’s move was too arbitrary and broad and didn’t adhere to federal rules for this kind of thing. They upheld the lifting of the ban that the original judge had ordered.
