By Arnold Ahlert "How out of control is Washington, D.C.? In 2008, the federal budget was $2.9 trillion. A mere two years later, the feds want Americans to come up with an additional $900 billion.
Of course, these unconscionable hacks know you don't have it to give, but that's no problem: according to CBO estimates, Congress will simply pile another $1.35 trillion on a national debt that already exceeds $12 trillion.
A question for my fellow Americans: at what point does a feckless Congress and a clueless president cross the line from irresponsible stupidity to criminal negligence?
As most Americans have figured out by now, the man occupying the White House — as a result of arguably the biggest mistake ever made by the American electorate — will say absolutely anything. There is no other conclusion one can come to whenever Barack Obama has the nerve to talk about his commitment fiscal responsibility."
