Yep, that would be Volkswagen Crossfox in a bad accident in Brazil. Notice the 5 lug wheels (smart has 3) and the rear mounted spare tire. This is a bad accident, but the smart's Tridion cell would have fared better. This is just like the other photo of a Ford Escape crushed between two trucks in New Orleans that people circulate as a smart. Again, 5 lug wheels give it away and Snopes confirmed.
