Energy reality starts to bite

The fourth oil shock of the past half-century-plus is unlike the previous three and isn't going away any time soon. In the medium term, the world will need to rely on two key but controversial forms of energy - "cleaned up" coal and nuclear - to find relief. China and India won't lead the way, this burden will fall on the affluent societies of the West. - Dilip Hiro
